Trenton, FL The year is new and all sorts of excitement in the air as the CrossHeir Outfitters team readies for the first of many Outreach events. January was a great cool month that headed the team to Trenton Florida to help Pine Grove Baptist Church host their annual Wild Game Dinner. As they contacted us late in the game with their speaker Morris Anderson already booked. We simply provided the games and entertainment portion of the day’s event. We saw over 390 attend the event participating in archery tournaments , redneck challenges, and a hunting and fishing simulator. The church hosted a team of cooks that provided a cornucopia of wild game and the main dish “Swamp Cabbage. After eating the meal, Morris Anderson brought a hunting message where we saw 31 decisions for the Lord. Macclenny, FL With yet another wild-game dinner that needed our help, First Baptist Church Macclenny called on our crew to help out with their outreach event. After three hours of entertainment on the two simulators, the men began to fill the house. We experienced for the first time, a true Outreach event. The church challenged their men to invite the un-churched, and they came through! Of the 200 plus that was in attendance, over 75% were un-churched! The attendees which were an impressive 99.5% men, enjoyed a delicious meal served by the wives, then, the group heard a challenging message from Team Member Robert Bradow. As the Gospel of Jesus Christ was clearly presented, there were 53 decisions for our Lord. Waycross, GA With a full year of planning, the men of Satilla Christian Outdoors, put their game faces on and pulled off a huge event with over 600 attendees. The men enjoyed a challenging archery 3D tournament, the Redneck Challenge, and as always, Kevin’s games and antics from the stage. All morning long, successful hunters brought their kills in of fine gobblers, hoping theirs would sport the longest beard. After dinner was served later in the evening, we heard awesome testimonies from the men of Team Extreme Passion Outdoors. Lead by NWTF National Champion turkey caller Jeremy Hendricks. The message presented an opportunity to receive Christ and 15 did just that with 51 rededications to Jesus. Perry, Fl After much prayer for an event to be held in the Rural area of Perry, Fl, God came through and provided the location. Cross Point Baptist Church gave us a call and asked us to come and host an event with them. Never have we seen such a group that was prepared as they had bathed the place in Prayer. The 100% men audience enjoyed several hours of simulation games, trophy displays and live music, the men of Cross Point served a huge wild game dinner from grouper to venison and of course the delicacy, Swamp Cabbage.” After the men had eaten and settled down, that heard a message from Robert Bradow and the Lord really showed up! Of the 218 men in attendance, 118 of them rededicated their lives to Christ, and 21 experienced Jesus’ Salvation! Lake Placid, FL April 26 provided a beautiful day for the Central Florida area, as the CrossHeir Outfitters team co-partnered with First Baptist Church to lead in the first ever Lake Placid, Sportsman’s Banquet. Never before have we seen a football field full of attendees. These guys went above and beyond as they set up a mega sound system, and enough tables and chairs for over 2000 people. We saw action all day as they participated in the various games and such, and then ended the day with dinner and a message from former NFL and Miami Dolphin cornerback Don McNeal. Don brought the message of salvation to the crowd and we saw 64 decisions for Christ. Mid Florida. After a year and a half of planning and watching the pieces of the puzzle come together, on May 17th we made the short trip to the Sumter County Fairgrounds where we participated in a multi church / association wide outreach event. God provided the funds for a huge tent where we parked our trailer under for the festivities. There were games all day and tournaments and the crowd enjoyed over 50 vendors with their outdoor products. We gave away prizes all day, and into the evening. After cooking 202 Boston butts, we fed the multitude, as they were entertained by the Akins’ of north Ga. Al Stone spoke at the event and brought a powerful message to which we saw 101 decisions for our Lord.
